Holiday On The Baltic Coast ...

This year, we chose the coast of Baltic Sea as destination of our summer adventure. Last time we visited the Polish coast 20 years ago, so it seemed like a great idea to recapture our childhood memories.

On the way we had to travel through almost entire country, so we decided not to waste this opportunity and visit a few places along the way. The first place we visited was the city of Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń, later Malbork, Elblag and Łeba, our final destination.

Łeba has been a huge disappointment, full of trash and mediocrity, where it was difficult to find a place to eat a decent meal. Despite the end of the season (second half of August) and not very nice weather, Łeba was still full of tourists. It seems that the only thing that attracts the crowds is the Polish Baltic Sea. Beautiful, wide, soft sand beaches, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, Polish sea coast didn’t let us down.

Because the weather was not so good, we decided to do some sightseeing. Shifting sand dunes in the Słowinski National Park, Stilo and Czołpino lighthouses as well as Skansen in Kluki are the places most worthy of visiting for anyone. Day trip to Sopot and Gdańsk was great, and the Gdańsk made a lasting impression on us.

Places To See ...

Gdańsk Main Town is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited in Poland.

Walk the Royal Road, that guides you through the pages of history from The Upland Gate and Gateway of Torture Chamber through The Golden Gate to Green Gate on Motława river, impresses with beautiful monuments attesting to the former splendour of the city.

Malbork Castle was built by the Teutonic Knights and it's one of the largest fortresses of medieval Europe.

Walking tour of the castle complex takes over four hours and is worth every minute. This is an amazing journey into the history, politics and customs associated not only with the castle, but also the city and the entire region.
